Here's a neat tip I stumbled up on while admiring the Nov. 01, 2001 issue of Bassmasters Magazine! It was submitted by Jerry Barton of Royal Oak, Michigan.I thought I'd share my finding ........Here goes.....

Make an inexpensive camera tripod so you can take your own lunker picture when you're fishing by yourself. Stick a broomstick into a pedastal seat receptacle and cut it off at a suitable height. Take a 1/4-20  by 1-inch machine bolt and cut off the flathead part. Pre-drill a pilot hole into the top of the broom stick, then screw the bolt into the hole leaving about 3/8 inch sticking out. Insert the bolt into the threaded tripod receptacle on the bottom of the camera and twist the broomstick until it's tight. Reinsert the stick into the pedestal hole, set the camera's timer, back up to a pre-measured spot, hold up your lunker and say "cheese". The camera mount stores neatly in your rod locker when not in use, and you've got a great momento of your catch. Then, your trophy bass (or any other species for that matter), can be released to live and fight another day!
