Knots To Know!
The Blood Beight Knot...
This knot is used to create drop loops in light line traces. Its advantages are that the dropper tends to stand out from the main line and it's reputed 95% retained breaking strain. This is an excellent knot for the famous "drop shot" rig!
The Centauri Knot...
Centauri Knot - This knot is principally used to attach hooks through the eye to the line. Works well on a wide range of line strengths and claims to retain 96% of breaking strain.
The Clinched Half Blood Knot...
Also known as the trilene knot...This knot, with it's 95% breaking strain,  is a well-known and often used knot by lots of fishermen.
The Palomar Knot...

The Hangmans Uni-knot...
This is an excellent knot, known by the International Game Fish Associaton, as the "Uni-knot". It is used to join two lines and incorporates  an excellent breaking!  Use this knot when refilling a spool with fresh line! Should you reach the knot in a fish-fighting situation, it will definately hold!
Your knot is the weakest link between you and a fish of a lifetime. Don't take chances with just any knot, get to know the ones on this page! All of these knots are recognized by the International Game Fish Association to hold high retained breaking strain points of 90%, or in some cases, even better! Is your favorite knot up to par?
