My View on Education in Indonesia

05/23/02

To our leader of Indonesia and politicians,

Don't be selfish!!! don't think of your group, party and family. Think of people's welfare. We need free education.

Education in Indonesia needs more attention of public figures and our leaders. Education is indeed important when we talk about development. It is a pity that the government doesn't pay much attention to our education. The budget for education is so limited that the development and advancement of education system can't be established. The education sector needs to be prioritized since human resources are indeed significant for the development of developing countries.

I can't imagine in our country that is without education how the situation will be. There will be colonization again. Nowadays there is enough education, but the expense is so expensive. How can the people get such education if the expense is so high? On the other hand, the leader and politicians still consider much on their business, their group, their party and their family. Nowadays they only pay attention to their groups and parties. They don't want to give enough subsidy to our education. They are so selfish.

Supposing the government and all politicians don't only think of their groups and parties, they also pay much attention to education sector. They give subsidy to education; I am sure the quality of human resources will advance well. The development will take place and the debts will be eliminated. How does it happen?

I give you the illustration. You know Japan, right? Japan in 1945 was attacked by USA and it was poorly damaged. They could do nothing after all. However, they, first of all, tried to advance the education sector and technology. Many citizens were encouraged to go to school. The expense was not so expensive.

No countries in the world will be advanced if the education of its citizens isn't prioritized. To conclude, it's significant to pay much attention to education sector. If the government pays much attention to education sector and the education system is improved, I am sure the development will take place. No conflict will happen, no racism will take place, no murder and kidnapping will occur if the education of its citizens is prioritized. That's all.
