Welcome to my Web site!My name is Daviq Rizal. I was born on September 25th, 1977 in Semarang. I wasn’t so good at school when I was an elementary school student since my family was on conflict. What was the conflict? The conflict was simple namely family conflict. That was my past.
Like many children, I went to kindergarten. I went to kindergarten for one year if I wasn’t mistaken. Then, I went to elementary school in my village namely MI Ad Daenuriyyah. But I didn’t know why I moved to other elementary school namely MI Futuhiyyah when I was at grade 4. Right before I graduated from that school, I moved back to my former elementary school because of lack of funds. That was funny, right.
I went to junior high school in Futuhiyyah for three years. I only hoped that this time I won’t have any difficulty at all. Then, I went to senior high school namely tourism vocational school, but I felt that I didn’t have any talent in tourism so I moved to Futuhiyyah again. That was similar to what I used to undergo when I was a kid.
After high school, I went to IKIP PGRI Semarang. I completed my high education for half and four year. I wrote a thesis entitled "The Description of Self-Access Language Learning". It was a pilot project in Semarang. I followed student association especially associated with my major namely English Student Association. I became an editor in one of English Dept. magazine. That was my experience. When I became a student, I had a work as an English teacher at Oxford and as a private English teacher to anyone. Next, I became an English teacher at LB-LIA Afiliasi Imam Bonjol. After that, I joined PKPU an NGO helping the needy and the victims of flood or disasters.
In the future I intend to get Australian Development Scholarship, but I am not really sure that I can get the scholarship, but I hope I can get it. I really want to study abroad. Hopefully anyone can help me. I want to take British Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Adult Education or Teaching English as a Foreign Language overseas. I don’t put some eggs in one basket. In other words I don’t only try to get the Australian Development Scholarship, but I try others i.e. British Chevening Awards, Fulbright Scholarship, STUNNED Scholarship, Merdeka Scholarship, Quota Program Scholarship and so forth.
