    Character Biographical Synopsis

    After Captain Chet Ingram Kabak's promotion to Fleet Admiral, he began to build up his own fleet (under Grand Moff Tarkin's orders), and named it the "Dark Hope Fleet". The "DHF", as it was known, started to build it's own secret research facilities. After some time, the DHF researchers developed a unique process of cloning a human being, without the accelerated aging/degredation that clones sometimes underwent. They also developed a memory-engram transfer method, allowing the original human to transfer their memories to the new clone body. While the new clone wouldnt have the exact same personality, it would have all the memories of it's predecessor. Admiral Chet underwent this process, and had a clone made. Unfortunately, the research lab had a catastrophic accident, and only the clone, Davin, was able to be saved. All the data and equipment were lost, and have since never been duplicated. Shortly after the accident, Admiral Kabak was transferred to command the Emperor's personal fleet for a short time, before being ordered back to the Outer Rim, under Grand Moff Tarkin. The "Scylla" was subsequently decommissioned by the Empire during Fleet Admiral Kabak's tours of duty, and sent to an out-of-the-way scrap yard, for disassembly. Admiral Chet's clone, finding himself in a strange world, with the unsettling knowledge that he was indeed a clone, and that his predescessor was still alive, set out to find his own purpose in the Galaxy. Having fond memories of the "Scylla", he used his identical appearance as Admiral Kabak to forge documents and obtain the "Scylla" back from the scrap yard, just days before it's scheduled dismantling. Davin took the "Scylla", set it on an automated course for Admiral kabak's fleet location, and escaped, without the Imperial Navy having so much as a clue that an entire Star Destroyer had been stolen! After a lengthy debate with his "brother" Chet, Davin was allowed to keep the "Scylla". Admiral Kabak arranged the nescessary paperwork and was able to pay off the officials at the scrap yard to accept them before filing any documents about Davin's actions. Everything was made legal, and the "Scylla" finally beloged to Davin. After starting a small shipping business, which was semi-successful (mostly due to his "brother"s business), Davin found his calling... Computers, Droids, and Space Exploration. Davin was able to stock up his ship, and make many modifications over the years of his Shipping business. This included replacing weapons, rebuilding engines, and making his ship all-around more competitive with the newer, faster, more powerful ships that were patrolling the Galaxy. The result was a Star Destroyer, while aging in it's design, was fine-tuned into a formidable opponent to almost any ship, even the mammoth Imperial-class destroyers. In the uncirtain times of civil war, one needs good protection, when transporting valuable war materiel, and exploring the wild reaches of space. Davin knew that in order to survive and thrive, one needed a good ship. His ship was going to be exactly that. Davin was able to find a place among the rest of the Galaxy, too. This came with his acceptance into the New Alderaan Space Exploration Agency (NASEA). This division of the New Alderaan Republic was just the kind of organization Davin could be right at home in. He offered the services of his ship, as well, and began exploring new Hyperroutes to the secretive New Alderaan. New Alderaan was a colony of Alderaanian survivors that had decided to keep their new world secret. Only N.A.R. Navy ships were allowed to have the jump coordinates. NASEA's first goal, as Davin had pioneered, was to find ways of reaching the system that not only saved time, but kept the location a secret. While on his NASEA assignments, Davin began to apply his second love (droids and computers) to his work. He named the resulting project "Pegasus". After a proposal to the NASEA, and to the New Alderaan Republic, funding began for this new technology. Although the NASEA has been suspended from NAR programs temporarily, the project continues for Davin and his team, using Davin's personal funds from shipping to pay for the cost of continuing. The "NavCom AI", the heart and soul of "Pegasus", is now fully integrated with the "Scylla"s systems, and gives it's host ship and crew the ability to do revolutionary feats of hyperspace and sublight navigation, astrogation, and exploration. Davin has since decided to strike out into the Galaxy without the aid of his Destroyer or his Crew, and has taken only the bare nescessities with him. He has come across a used YT-1300, and purchased it, stock. He aptly named it the "Scylla-II", after his previous ship, and has decided to try his luck at what some of the other areas of the Galaxy have to offer him. * * * Addendum: Since joining the Allegience Wing, Davin has since liberated a Sentinel-class Landing Craft from the Empire. He has relinquished the "Scylla-II" to the New Republic, in favor of the new craft. As a result of this deal, his debt owed on the "Scylla-II" was also relinquished to the New Republic military. Davin is now persuing his goal of becomming a Jedi Knight. He has already taken a seat on the Jedi Council of Bethlamore, serving as Master Artificer of the Temple. He now works to outfit the Jedi with the best equipment available, and to keep that equipment in top order.
