This webeite is wholly devoted to the two that have gone...
SHEBA AND SEVEN
... both loved and missed, forever.
We cry for those who've gone before,
but we can feel that they suffer no more.
How they played with us in fields and on ridge,
and they wait lovingly at Rainbow Bridge.

Sheba was my first Great Dane.  Not a show dog, just a wonderful family friend and pet.  I got her a year before Human Children came into my life, and she helped me through many, many years of raising them.  The kids thought of her as their "Big Sister". As she would lay on her side, the babies used her for a pillow as they drank from their bottles. She was so gentle with them.  She was fondly nicknamed "Clyde" because of her clumsy antics.  She passed away peacefully at nearly 13 years old, all but the first one of her long precious life, spent with us.

Seven came to us as a 13th birthday gift for my son, Sean.  He was called "The Prison Dog" because he came from the shelter.  He was a  mixed breed Black Lab and English Setter, and just the most handsome mutt you've ever met. He was my son's most private friend, and Mercedes's first playmate in our home. They loved playing in the snow together and this picture was taken during one of those times.  Seven came down with a sudden unknown illness and left us totally unprepared for the loss. Ironically, Seven didn't quite make it to 7 years old.
