| Are You there God? We search for Your holy grail We long for your truth to stamp out the bale as we run round in circles and chase our own tails Are You a personality? Or simply a mass of energy? Do You know and love each of us? Or should we grapple with logic and in science find solace? Where should we stand on this onerous issue? Which doctines to follow and which should we eschew? Who is right and who is wrong? Who is weak and who is strong? |
Should we heed Zarathustra? Why not Chatholics, Israelites or Muslims? Perhaps the answers lie with Jesus, Confucious or Buddha? What about Druidism, Wicca, Scientology and Santeria? Is there no absolution, or some certain solution to the symptom of this world? To the fact we're all idolaters, steeped in modern paganism and the worshipping of ourselves? How can we refine the archetypes of old? Into a cauldron hurl religion, and transmute lead into gold? To resist the evil legion and boldly break the mold? Divinity is borne of sacrifice from selfishness, a gravestone We are but parts of one whole, and each holds the key to the philosopher's stone Copyright 2007 Beatriz Oliver |
