| Dark iron liquid seeps into the Persian rug Obscuring the brilliant pattern with its murky presence A black leather chair silently tells a dark tale of woe The burden it bares, a cold lifeless man lying in its loving arms The beautiful dark haired man is ghostly pale As white as Carriera marble and just as cold His head has tilted forward causing his unruly locks to fall Into his wide questioning eyes while his outstretched hand even Now seems to reach for the dagger which has dropped to his feet The fireplace burns brightly consuming the damning scrolls of lust Written to his unfaithful wife by her passionate paramour These damning words were intercepted by the beautiful dark haired man Who even in the throes of death, condemned the forbidden lovers To an eternity of everlasting pain and suffering for their crimes As the last of his life's blood spills out from the deep gashes in his wrists A sleek black cat appears, lapping up the precious iron liquid as it pools With each flick of its velvet tongue, the cat's phosphorous eyes fill With the man's knowledge and wrath, making it an agent of destruction To the unsuspecting accursed lovers, while a bitter ghostly laugh echoes |
