| Selection of winners will be based on personality as well as beauty, poise, school and community involvement. The contestants will themselves select Miss Congeniality. | The 2006 Fair Queen will reign over the Daviess County Fair, held in Elnora, during the week of June 26-July 1, 2006 The Queen will represent Daviess County in the 2006 Indiana State Fair Queen Contest The 2005 Queen, Lisa DeBaun is originally from Sullivan her parents are Joe & Theresa DeBaun. She came to live with Kenny & Janice Sanders of Odon in 2001 and they became her legal guardians. Lisa is a member of the Odon First Christian Church. Lisa was attending Vincennes University at the time of the crowning, but has since transferred to USI majoring in elementary education. She went on to participate in the State Fair queen contest and came in third runner up. She states that it was a very interesting and rewarding experience and has helped her in mamy ways to better her life. Lisa will be working the summer of 2006 at Camp Illiana, which is a Christian church camp in Washington, Indiana The 2005 Queen and Runnerup will share in the Daviess County Fair Queen responsibilities along with other county and area activities or events during their reign. |
