I feel sorry for the victims, but the apparent victims are not the only ones
Sacrificing ones self for a cause requires a great reward by service stemming from the cause. The kamikaze pilots in relations to the men intentionally colliding into symbols of successful capitalism both had a cause. Both had a strong reason to commit an action and thereby generate such instantaneous loss of life. Pearl Harbor found itself being rained upon and we did also on September 11, 2001. Japans attacking power in ratio to those perpetrators of the recent ambush was far greater. Although the two attacks have had very similar social and political reactions; the people united, the President conducted a speech, and military seemingly simultaneously ignited into a frenzy of panic and red alert. As my mother rushed into my room Tuesday morning spilling the news, I admittedly smirked. Not for the murder of innocent people, but at the realization of our almost total susceptibility we finally again endured. Our nations attitude regarding our invulnerability was inversed by those two historical events. These terrorists objective may of only been to have riches and glory from Allah waiting in heaven, yet rather they may spawn the opportunity for mankind to understand that in unity it can be the strongest possible. Hence possibly giving an end their peoples suffering. We, not only as a nation, but also as humanity, should respond to this act in a tolerant and open-minded manner.
