| American Anthropological Association (AAA) The other AAA. I am a member of five AAA sections: Association for Feminist Anthropology, Society of Lesbian and Gay Anthropologists, Society for Cultural Anthropology, Society for Linguistic Anthropology, the Society for Urban, National, and Transnational Anthropology, and the Society for Medical Anthropology. AAA Committee for Human Rights I am on the board of CfHR, and for 2004-5, I am CfHR's contributing editor to Anthropology News National Writer's Union (NWU) Know your rights/writes. An important resource for writers of all kinds to maintain control over their own intellectual production. New York Association for Gender Rights Advocacy (NYAGRA) I am a founding member and, until recently, a board member of NYAGRA. NYAGRA is a membership organization that advocates at the state and local level in New York for self-determination in gender expression and identity |
