was the son of William Longfellow b. 2 Jun 1770 and Mary Ann Swift.Johnathan R. was born 30 Sep 1811.He moved to Henry,Indiana with his father William in about 1822 some say 1813 Where is William on the 1820 census? Johnathan R. married to Jemima Elvina Barnard on 11 Mar 1841 in Henry, Indiana and they had 8 children: 1)Mary Ann b. 1842 2)James William b. 1844 in Henry, Indiana and he married Alice Luby. 3) Joseph Longfellow b.29 Jan 1847 in Henry, Indiana and Joseph married Mary Ellen Bell. 4)Ann Rebecca b.1849 and she married John Lester about 1869.5)Sarah E. born 1851. 6)John Marcus b. 1853 married Doris (Dora ?) Williams.7)Melissa born 1857 married James Monroe Richey 8) Marcus J. born 1859 married Emma Williams.
