Nathan Longfellow was the son of John Longfellow born 1740 and Elizabeth Bradley. Nathan must have married in Kent,Delaware where he was born but that record is yet unfound. Nathan had several children it is believed in Kent, Delaware: 1)Nathan R. Longfellow b.abt 1808 2)John Longfellow b. abt 1817 and he married Eliza Dawson 3)William Longfellow b. 1820 4)Amos b. 1823 5)Gary Longfellow b. 1826. Was Thomas Longfellow that married Margaret Trotter in Rush,Indiana a son of this Nathan or not? Anyone know for certain? There may have been other children not listed here and I have not yet seen a Will for Nathan or Land Records etc. Nathan moved to Rush County,Indiana where his brother William b.1770 had previously moved. He remained there until his death abt 1845. This family seemed to remain in Rush County until after the death of Nathan abt 1845.

John Longfellow b. 1817 married Eliza Dawson 14 Nov 1837 in Rush County, Indiana and they had seven children: 1) First they had a daughter in abt 1838 that didn't seem to live to the 1850
census. 2)Elijah
Longfellow b. 1842 Does anyone have details on this Elijah? 3)Samuel Longfellow b. 1842 these two must have been twins. 4)William b. 1844 5)Nancy b. 1845
6) John Gary Longfellow b. 1847 and he married Susana Daurity. 7) Anna E. Longfellow b. 1849 in Rush County, Indiana.
