Jonathan Longfellow born 1 Mar 1715 was the second child of 5 of William b.1679 and Elizabeth Ringold. Jonathan married to Elizabeth Turner about 1747 probably in Queen Annes,Maryland. If anyone has the record of this marriage I have been searching for it for quite some time. John's property
as well as other Longfellows property, probably in Joseph's Hope were close to the border of Maryland and Delaware which
ended up being disputed and ended up in Murderkill, Kent, Delaware and he can be found in Tax records of this area as early as 1753.They had 1)John Longfellow abt 1748 2)Amos Longfellow b.abt 1750 3)Elizabeth Longfellow b. abt 1752 Queen Annes,MD. Who did this Elizabeth marry ? from John's Will this Elizabeth had a child named Jonathan 4)James Longfellow abt 1754 Also searching for some kind of record for this family as they are extremely scare. There is a Bible record for William his brother that very slightly mentions Jonathans Family but there must also be somewhere a Bible record for this Jonathan Longfellow and Elizabeth Turner. John's Will lists that his wife at the time of writing his Will show's his wife to be Rosannah so Elizabeth Turner must have died about 1775 or so and he remarried to this Rosannah. This Jonathan (John) died 8 Feb 1794 in Kent,Delaware.John's probate can be found at the Delaware Public Archives in the year 1794. Anyone knowing descendants of Jonathan and Elizabeth or where a record about this family may be found please email me at: [email protected]
This information will be greatly appreciated.
