Glass Insulator Night Light
Please give photos time to load. This is a hand crafted night light, using a Whitall Tatum CD 154 aqua glass insulator as the globe. The base is crafted out of solid Red Oak and finished with a high gloss "Dark Oak" polyurethane stain. To add to it's beauty is a brass name plate with the company name and CD number of the glass insulator.
The lamp is a 4 watt night light bulb and is powered using a 6 foot polarized lamp cord with an in line switch. This gives just enough light to dimly illuminate an average size room and will also show off the beauty of the glass insulator.
The insulator used on the beautiful night light is a Whitall Tatum CD154. It is aqua in color and is in excellent condition. The front of the insulator has "WHITALL TATUM CO. NO1" with the number 40 under the name.
The back side of the insulator has "MADE IN U. S. A." and a triangle with the letters WT in it.
I also have another one of these using a Hemingray clear CD 155. On the Hemingray nightlight, I used a clear natural color varnish on the base instead of the dark stain. Later I will post photos of this one also.
