Attributes are qualities,
characteristics or distinctive features assigned to a cause or
source. There are 17 Attributes of God found in the bible.
CONTEMPLATION (Job 11:7-9) 7.Can you search
out the deep things of God? Can you find out
the limits of the Almighty? 8.They are higher than
heaven-what can you do? Deeper than Sheol-what
can you know? 9.Their measure is longer than
the earth and broader than the sea.
DECREES
(Psalms 2:7) 7.(Matthew 8:29, Acts 13:33, Hebrews 1:5) I will declare a
decree: The
Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
FAITHFULNESS
(Psalms 89:32-33) 32.Then I will punish their transgression with the rod,
and
their inquity with stripes. 33.Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not
utterly take from him, Nor
allow My faithfulness to fail.
FOREKNOWLEDGE
(Hosea 8:4) 4.(1 Kings 12:16-20, 2 Kings 15:13, 17, 25) They set
up
kings, but not by Me; They made princes, but I did not acknowledge them. From
their silver and gold
They made idols for themselves-That they might be cut off.
GOODNESS
(Psalms 52:1) 1.(1 Samuel 21:7) Why do you boast in evil O mighty man?
The
goodness of God endures continually.
GRACE
(Acts 20:24) 24.(Romans 8:35, 2 Corinthians 4:1,16, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27,

Timothy 4:7, Acts 1:17, Titus 1:3, Galations 1:1) But none of these things
move me; nor do I
count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy,
and the ministry which I received
from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
HOLINESS
(Proverbs 15:26) 26.The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord.
But
the words of the pure are pleasant.
IMMUTABILITY
(Ezekiel 8:18) 18.(Ezekiel 5:11, 13, Proverb 1:28) Therefore I also will
act in
fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pitty; and though they cry in My
ears with a loud voice, I
will not hear them
KNOWLEDGE-OMNISCIENCE (Job 23:10) 10.(Psalms 17:3, James 1:12) But He knows
the
way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold
LOVE
(Solomon 8:6-7) 6.(Isaiah 49:16, Jeremiah 22:24, Haggai 2:23, Philippians
3:8) Set me
as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm; For love is as strong as
death, Jealousy as cruel as
the grave; Its flames are flames of fire, A most vehement flame. 7.(Proverbs
6:35) Many waters cannot
quench love, Nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love All
the wealth of his house. It
would be utterly despised.
MERCY
(Titus 3:5) 5.(Romans 3:20, Galations 2:16, Matthew 3:11, John 3:3, 5, 1
Peter 3:21)
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but acccording to His mercy He
saved us, through
the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
PATIENCE
(Nehemiah 9:17) 17.(Psalms 78:11, 86:5, 15, Numbers 14:4, 18, Exodus
34:6,
Joel 2:13) They refused to obey, And they were not mindful of Your wonders
That You did among
them. But they hardened their necks, And in their rebellion They appointed a
leader To return to their
bondage. But You are God, Ready to pardon, Gracious and merciful Slow to anger,
Abundant in
kindness, And did not forsake them.
POWER-OMNIPOTENCE
(Job 8:11) 11.Can the papyrus grow up without a marsh? Can the
reeds flourish without water?
SOLITARINESS
(Job 35:7-8) 7.(Proverbs 9:12, Romans 11:35) If you are righteous, what
do
you give Him? Or what does He receive from your hand? 8.Your wickedness affects
a man such as
you.
SOVERIEGNTY
(Ecclesiastes 3:14) 14.(James 1:17) I know that whatever God does, It
shall be
forever. Nothing can be added to it. And nothing taken from it. God does it,
that men should fear
before Him.
SUPREMACY ( Proverbs 21:1) 1.The king's
heart is in the hand of the Lord. Like the rivers of
water; He turns it wherever He wishes.
WRATH
(Jeremiah 12:5) 5.(1 Chronicles 12:15, Jeremiah 49:19) If you have run
with the
footmen, and they have wearied you. Then how can you contend with horses? And if
in the land of
peace, In which you trusted, the wearied you. Then how will you do in the
floodplain of the Jordan?
