My Work In Progress

Ok here are some pictures of the 1971 Chevy
Blazer that I have purchased.  It's main purpose is for a
hunting vehicle in the winter and a mud truck in the summer.
It is fully convertible and I have already started some major changes.
First thing that I did was strip the inside.
Some minor bondo work in the bed and replaced the
floor pans in the front.  Painted the inside and installed
a full length mat in the bed and just floor mats in the front.
I then put seat covers on all of the seats.
Then I installed a cd player and speakers so the inside of
the blazer has everything I want in it.  I then started on the
outside.  I applied the first coat of Tennessee Orange paint.
After applying the first coat, I noticed that the entire
truck had a little bit of blue showing through the orange.
While waiting for the first coat to dry this look grew on me.
So therefore I didn't apply the second coat.
I have therefore declared the new color Tennessee-O-Flague.
I think it has character.  I will be posting more photo's
of the truck as I get closer to completing it.

& Another

Here are pictures after the first go around of changes.  As stated above the truck has been painted and the interior completely redone. Most of the changes thus far, other than panting and interior, go un-noticed.   The front end has been completely rebuilt.  New pinion seals/bearings, hubs, brakes, u-joints, driveshaft, and centering yoke.  I also put a new gas tank in it as well as new fuel lines.  A new filter and fluid in the transmission as well as a new modulator.  And of course a new fuel filter to finish things off.  The next step in the process is seatbelts (a must have), steering wheel, a set of 35x14.50 ss boggers will finish the next faze.

Just so our other vehicles don't feel left out, I have put a picture
of them on here also.  Tania's car is the 2000 Honda Civic
and mine is the 1993 GMC Yukon 4X4.
