intra-arterial injection, esp. thiopentone

upper limb claudication [with impalpable pulses]:

Burger's disease

Takayasu's arteritis

severe atherosclerosis

proximal aortic coarctation

thoracic outlet syndrome

polymyalgia rheumatica / temporal arteritis

lower limb claudication [with impalpable pulses]:

severe atherosclerosis

Buerger's disease (heavy smokers)

saddle embolus (acute)
