ulnar nerve at elbow peroneal nerve at knee trauma to any other peripheral nerve |

acoustic neuroma meningioma |

herpes zoster leprosy Lyme disease (typically causes facial palsy) |

meningeal disease: |
tuberculosis syphilis |

vasculopathy (infarction): |
(commonest affected is 3rd cranial nerve)
polyarteritis nodosa and other vasculitides |

sarcoidosis heavy metal poisoning, eg. leadidiopathic, eg. Bell's palsy (idiopathic facial nerve mononeuropathy) |
