healed pneumonia following tuberculosis, chickenpox or histoplasmosis parasitic infection haemosiderosis, eg. idiopathic pulmonary haemosiderosis, mitral stenosis (causes chronic pulmonary venous hypertension) certain pneumoconioses, eg. silicosis, asbestosis, iron, tin, barium and talcretained contrast medium, eg. post-bronchography, inhalation of bariumalveolar microlithiasis (very fine stippling; often familial; can obliterate all lung detail) |
