DISSOCIATED SENSORY LOSS

dorsal column loss (with intact spinothalamic tract):

subacute combined degeneration of cord [both lower limbs usually involved]

ipsilateral limb motor loss in Brown-Sequard syndrome [hemisection of cord]

spinothalamic loss (with intact dorsal columns):

syringomyelia [both upper limbs usually affected with motor and spinothalamic loss]

contralateral limb in Brown-Sequard syndrome (+ ipsilateral motor loss)

anterior spinal artery occlusion [bilateral motor and spinothalamic loss]
