haemorrhagic cerebral lesions

hypertension (1� intra-cerebral bleed; usually lacunar)

subarachnoid haemorrhage:

rupture of saccular aneurysm

AVM [5%]

extension of intra-cerebral bleed

diffuse vascular disease in elderly

trauma

bleeding from tumours

trauma (extra-dural or sub-dural haematoma)

tumours (5%)
