BRONCHIECTASIS

following acute childhood infections:

cystic fibrosis

hereditary immune deficiencies

yellow nail syndrome (+ dystrophic nails + lymphoedema + chylous ascites / effusions)

Kartagener's syndrome (immotile cilia syndrome)

bronchial obstruction, eg. foreign body, tumour, mucus

immunodeficiency, eg. HIV infection, hypogammaglobulinaemia

any cause of recurrent pneumonia
