All About David
David was born on Jan. 25, 1976, he weighed 7 lb. 6oz. and was 21 inches long. He had a full head of chestnut brown hair that grew thicker as he got older. He was a good baby and was always happy. His father and I divorced when he was about 6 months old and I was a single mom for 6 years. We struggled but we were happy. It was always hard for David having his parents divorced. He loved us both and hated when we argued and put him in the middle.
When David was 6 years old I met my second husband Joe. David introduced us and was always so proud he got us together. Joe had 3 children from his first marriage and David finally had a real family with a brother and 2 sisters, plus Joe and I had 3 more children of our own. It was hard when we all lived together. There wasn't much room and it's hard to put two families together, but we all worked together and survived.

David grew up loving airplanes and his guitar. I always thought he was going to be an airline pilot but he said he was going to play in his own rock band.
When David was 14 years old he went to live with his father. He was going through the teenage years where he didn't like rules and thought it would be easier there. He grew into a handsome young man and was very respectful of everyone. When he was 21 I noticed signs of drug abuse. I pleaded with him to go into rehab but he swore he didn't have a problem. He said he only smoked pot once in awhile and he didn't see that as a problem. I wish I would of done something more to help him. I thought about tieing him up and bringing him there but I was afraid he would be mad at me.
The year before he died he got 2 DUI's and then lost his job. Just before Christmas they came and repossesed his new car. Things were looking bad and I worried someone would be killed in a car accident. On Monday, March 13, 2000 we talked for a long time and he seemed excited about going back to school. Before we hung up he said I love you Mom and I said I love you too. I'm so glad we ended our conversation that way because that was the last time I talked to him. On March 15, 2000 he went to sleep and never woke up. The autopsy report said the only drug they found in his system was cannibis and that he had died from having an enlarged heart.
