Athel Deep Oil Project, South Oman.
Recruited as HSE Advisor, appointed Permit to Work Controller until hand over to operations department.
Processed around 400 permits as Responsible Supervisor and Area Authority. Project completed with 2.5 million manhours without Lost Time Injury.
Highlights - 5% hydrogen sulphide content in oil, harsh site conditions, armed hi jacking and other theft incidents, challenging climate, greenfield site with full complement of desert creatures - mostly poisonous.

Completed facility, flare stack is 60 meters in height. The same view in typical Shamal dust storm conditions.

Yellow scorpion in cooler, prior to release in safe area. Project catch and release policy was instigated due to the large quantity of native animals in the area.
