| CHICHEN-ITZA The archeological site of Chichen-Itza is maybe the most known Mayan ruin in Mexico. It was built around 459 AD and was inhabited twice. You can't miss the big pyramid called "EL Castillo" (that you can climb... with some problems!!) and the big water pit called "cenote" where Maya people seem to practise human sacrifices. |
| TULUM Tulum is very famous because of its fantastic location on the Caribbean coast. You can take a lot of nice photos from atop the cliffs. It's the only Mayan ancient city known that has walls built around it. the ruins are not a lot as in Chichen-Itza and for this reason Tulum tour is usually associated with a trip to Xel-Ha. |
| XEL-HA If you are going to find parrotfish, stingrays or even barracude you must plan a visit to one of the largest natural acquarium of the world: Xel-Ha. You can snorkel with freedom in Xel-Ha rivers, cenotes and little gulfs. There you can fin a dolphin swim program, too!! |
| B.O.B. One of the coolest thing to try is to see Cancun's underwater world with the strange "vehicles" you see in the picture below. You don't need a diving certification to "drive" your personal submarine. Just a quick lesson and enjoy yourself!! |
| DOLPHIN DISCOVERY It's an unforgettable experience!! A boat drives you to Isla Mujeres and there you can swim with dolphins for a 1,5 hours. You can play with them and interact together. Because of its magic feeling it's better if you book you dolphin experience in advance. |
| CARIBBEAN CRUISE (to Isla Mujeres) There are a lot of cruises companies that you can join to reach Isla Mujeres (45 minutes far from Cancun). You can choose also a pirate ship with folkloristic shoes. Remember that if you choose one of these "special cruises" you are going to drink a lot of Tequila BUM BUM! | COZUMEL You can visit the island of Cozumel and its wonderful underwater reef with a fast ferry-boat from Playa del Carmen. It's nice to visit the largest Mexican isle (not so big) with rented motoscooters! |
| XCARET Nature's sacred paradise. It's an eco-archeological park where you can snorkel in a sheltered bay or underground rivers. You can find there a swim with dolphins program! |
