| I spent Christmas of 1992 in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo with the Salesians of Don Bosco. The Christmas mass was almost three hours long. The music and dancing were extremely exciting. I stayed about four days here sleeping in a vacated classroom. I took the time to over-haul my bike and to get my entrance visa for Zaire. After Christmas, I crossed the Congo River (Heart of Darkness fame) and spent New Year's Eve in Kinshasa, the capital of Zaire. |
