This family welcomed me just as I arrived at 12:30 in the morning in Noukchott, the capital of  Mauritania. The father insisted that his wife make me dinner but there was no way that I wanted to impose such a heavy burden on her. I said that I just ate (not true) and hence, we settled for tea instead.
We slept under a lush carpet of stars in front of their doorway. He locked up my bike in his one-room home (in the background).
