These pictures were taken in Gabon. The top left picture is at the Equator. There was a marker but the foilage obscured it. When I asked about the marker, I was told that it was five kilometers back up the road (almost exactly where this photo was taken.) I didn't want to go back up. Surprisingly, the temperature was rather cool here. The top right photo is the main highway which eventually led me to The Congo. The bottom right picture is another example of an earthen road closer to the border. The road's texture and composite are different. There are an abundance of rivers here, one of which was photographed (left) on my way to the border. |
