| David Jay Jordan's ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED ( Part 2 ) But some of those that are saved and yet haven't worked for the Lord shall be ashamed upon His return ... Daniel 12 : 1 And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And yet that need not happen to us, if we Follow the Lord Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. So once saved always saved, but if saved and filled with His Love we should automatically want to follow Him all the way to the cross of our deaths.... and we shall have works that show we loved Him and others. Isn't that understandable and encouraging , our righteousness isn't what's important because we can't save ourselves by our righteousness or even keep ourselves saved by works of righteousness, 1Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. It is ALL JESUS if we give Him our lives and hearts and bodies. It's not our Power, but His POWER. Because even if we stop believeing the gospel, the Word remains true and ifwe have already received it. It is done. Our salvation has been given because we at ONE Time believed and RECEIVED JESUS. He remains true and faithful, and He can not take back what He has already done. Salvation is not dependant on us and our works, it is a GIFT of God, that can not be taken from us. I can't repeat this enough times Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. So our salvation, isn't something that is here today gone tommorrow, if we truly got 'saved' by the Lord, then He remains with us forever, and we don't have to be on a salvation roller coaster of doubts and fears. Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation (life style) without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: (don't be materialistic) for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. It's His promise to us, that He 'will never leave or forsake us,' and so all we have to do is believe it. It's His WORD, so just believe it, and when you do, it'll change your life. For Jesus has never lost one of His sheep and you and I are not going to be the first one ever lost. We have His Salvation, and we can't lose it. Once Saved, Always Saved. But if we have it, we will work like everything to give it to others, not because we have to but because we are so thankful for what we has given us. We serve Him because we love Him and KNOW that Jesus loves us. In His Service David SEE Also .... Salvation & Holy Spirit PS) But do remember, all that say they are saved may not be saved. because just a prayer or just a show of hands is not enough, and only the Lord knows who has really given their hearts to Him. And so we can't be surprized if there are few that have entered into the straight and narrow gate, as we each must work work out our own salvation with fear and trembling .... knowing it is not a game but means our very soul and Eternity. Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. We have to make sure we have 'MEET OUR MAKER' ... JESUS If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart today ! ! Back to Part 1 |
