Mary was a mid wife for John the Baptist's Birth ?

As we know it takes nine months for a baby to develop from conception
to birth, and yet in Christmas scriptures it appears that Mary was at the birth
of John the Baptist. So the question arises, Was Mary helping in the birth, as
the cousin of elizabeth, and was Mary a mid wife helper ?

     For Mary who had a divine conception by the Holy Spirit, was a virgin and had never known a man previously and because she was so young might not have had any experience with what would happen in childbirth. So when the angel of the Lord told her she would bear the 'Son of God', she just believed and accepted it, as a humble handmaid of the Lord. And yet six months previous, Mary's own cousin Elizabeth was also having a miraculous conceoption and pregnancy.

Luke 1:35 -39  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.   And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

     Consequently Elizabeth conceived six months before Mary, and John who was in the womb was six months advanced and older than Jesus who was in the womb of Mary. This is why it says when Mary conceived, at that time there was a six month gap between them as Elizabheth's pregnancy was six months more advanced
than Mary's.

Luke 1: 56-57  And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house. Luk 1:57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.(John the Baptist)

     So if Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth, and THEN stayed on for three more months, that would mean she would have been at Elizabeths house when Elizabeth was nine months pregnant, the time for her baby's birth. Would she not have helped out ? For surely Mary, who had bonded so closely with Elizabeth, would not leave just before the birth of John. They needed each other and encouraged one another, did they not ? They were so close, that Mary was surely a comfort and strength to Elizabeth and could have helped in the delivery as was the case of most women back in Biblical times.Mary was surely a midewife for Elizabeth in my opinion.

I can't absolutely prove it, but the addition of months and the timing of births, surely shows that Mary was there when John the Baptist was born. What greater comfort can there be than to have a birth with a true believer helping out. And so maybe the Lord gave this experience to teenage MARY, so Mary would know what to expect and what to do at her own birth, when no mid-wife is mentioned as being present.

     Both Mary and Elizabeth were believing and faithful and humble and BRAVE, so maybe these two women were together at the birth of JOHN, and MARY learned courage and childbirth from being there first hand.

In My Opinion ONLY

PS) Maybe also consider the EndTime 2nd Coming of the Lord, for it also is a time prophecy geared exactly to the birth cycle of the most beautiful temple ever created... a

PPS) And sonsider, if Jesus was born on
December 25th, the time when the Sun/Son is increasing its length in the winter sky, then John was born six months earlier three and a half days after the summer equinox when the summer Sun/Sun is decreasing its length in the summer sky.  For didn't John say, 'He must increase, and I (John) must decrease. '(John 3: 30)
