Well, I'm back in good ol' Christchurch and it's freezing, raining and generally crap weather. Fantastic. Back on GP run, and today I might just be able to concentrate on what's being said, last two days have been affected by jet-lag a bit :) Anyway, thought I should put a couple of pics up from France, I'll put some up of Scotland in a bit...

Guess what this is...

The Arc, neat, but more scaffolding would have been nice

The back of Notre Dame, if you look closely you can see Van Helsing at the top

The Louvre Pyramid, big place under there, and was packed as it was free for the day!

Falling Towards Apotheosis

1 day left in Cambridge, been very warm here since Monday, I think it was 23-25 degrees celsius on average, bit colder today but still t-shirt/shorts... love it. Finally managed to pick up my Immediate Life Support Course Certificate today after wandering the myriad of tunnels and passageways beneath the hospital looking for the Resuscitation Services room, I really began to think I had imagined going there a few weeks ago. Yesterday I went to go see Wonderland, thought it was alright, bit graphic at times but a good story, hadn't heard of it before actually. Might go see Troy, comes out tomorrow or something but they have previews today.

Set up a little business while I was over :)

Say It Ain't So

Well, I'm back. In England that is, back from a jaunt over to France (Paris mainly) and after that, Scotland. Paris was great, huge place, met some cool people from various parts of the world (namely Australia, Canada, France, USA, Egypt... the list goes on), had a chance to speak a little french which helped a bit with getting around, not too much in the way of meaningful conversation with non-english speaking french though :) Got to get into the Louvre for free (it being the first sunday of the month), but this also meant that everyone in Paris was also there. Anyway more about that later.
Scotland is great, like New Zealand in a lot of ways, big open spaces, nice scenery... but also the added attraction of actually having old castles/abbeys worth looking at. The bustrip up was a nightmare as I decided to try a nightbus, not a good idea, packed to the gills with unintelligable Scottish including one fully drunk girl, and sleep not a particularly comfortable option. I stayed with mes parentes at a lodge place near Perth (very nice town that my Mum is from), was cool. Also saw Edinburgh, Dundee, and up north a little way. No photos as yet, think I'll wait til I'm back home, still got a little bit of space on my memory cards...
I'll see you all back home sometime soon, get back on Sunday 23rd... day after the Super 12 final... damn, I'm gonna see if they can rig some apparatus on the plane to let me watch it live, I don't rate my chances on that though.

A little something, click to get bigger.
