| A Walk To The World Famous Hollywood Sign! |
| Getting to the Hollywood sign is easy. Just walk up Beachwood Drive from Franklin Ave. Take a left on Ledgewood and a right on Deronda. At the very top of Deronda is a gate to the trail that leads up to the sign. Here's a view of the sign from the top of Deronda just before I start the 30 minute walk on the trail that leads up to the sign. Whoever lives in this house has an AWESOME view! |

| A little way up the trail (left) and we're starting to get the view that most of us see when we see the sign on the TV or in newspapers. |

| (Right) The trail winds up through the hills a bit and then around the back of Mount Lee. You walk around the corner and - HOLY COW - there it is in front of you - the back of the Hollywood sign! Although you can't see it in the photo, at this point there is a fence separating you from the sign with "No Trespassing" signs and security cameras installed, just to make sure that over-eager sightseers don't get too close. |

| Of course, I had come all this way, and there WAS a gap at the bottom of the fence. That is me standing between the two L's in Hollywood! That's actually a microwave tower in the background with a bunch of antennas on. |
