Take me back to David
Bargain Hunt is the immensely popular BBC1 daytime show in which two teams have to spend 200 on antiques in one hour.  The team that makes the most profit in the subsequent auction is declared the winner. Simple.

There have been over
130 episodes of Bargain Hunt to date, and two more series are planned, not to mention various spin-offs.  The show regularly attracts over 2 million viewers, and continues to poach them from ITV.  The BBC has been inundated with demands to give Bargain Hunt a peak-time slot, and investigations are currently underway.  The show has a massive cult following, not least with students and the elderly.

"I've had students turning up wearing t-shirts with phrases I use such as '
Cheap as Chips' on the front," remarks David, "but I've also had ladies give me knickers with my face emblazoned on them.  My wife has taken them off me."

David's finely-tailored suits have been procured from the same tailor for over 25 years, while his hair style hasn't been overhauled since the Sixties.

A busy schedule means David has little time to himself, and is usually tucked up in bed by 9.00pm and up again at dawn.  He rarely sees his Cheshire home.

David Dickinson will be appearing as a guest in the new series of
Shooting Stars.
