Test Engineer I Dec 1997 to Dec 1999

·    Team Leader in the group development of the multi-tier testing stations and developed functional testing software in VB6 for the Westell Media Station products. Also developed the Windows CE based test application in C#.NET to bridge the communication between the VB6 test application and the Westell Media Station devices.

·    Develop functional testing software in VB6 for most telecommunication and the Westell Media Station products that are being developed and manufactured on site. The test results are being stored into Oracle 9i database for performance yield monitoring and test analysis. The RDO ActiveX control was used for all SQL queries and executions.

·    Developed three reliability testing system using the Thermotron and the TestEquity environmental chambers. They use three chamber controller computers, four performance testing computers, and Alcatel 7300, and store the status and vital information into Oracle 9i database for quality and engineering analysis. They were all developed in VB6 with RDO and IPWorks ActiveX control.

·    Developed several test analysis applications in VB6 that use SQL queries to Oracle 9i database for engineering and management quality analysis for all of our products and our production performance. The RDO, Calendar, Chart, and Flex Grid ActiveX controls were used.

·    Design and build test stations. We stared with Windows NT OS and eventually upgraded to Windows XP. Most designs and schematics were done in Visio. The switchers we used were Pickering, HP3488/3499, and custom made in-house. The I/O controls were IEEE, Ethernet, RS-232, Modbus, and National Instrument’s PCL711/722 interface.
