Rahman wrote : That is because the practice of putting hands on the side when praying
is NOT OF THE PROPHET SAW. It happens becuase the people of North
Africa was mimicing Imam Malik way of praying due to the HANDICAPP of
Imam Malik.
When in Africa, Imam Malik could not lift his hands due to his
handicapp. So he prayed with his hands to the side. However, in AL
MUWATTA Imam Malik narrated a Al Hadeeth of the Prophet praying with
LOCK HANDS to the sides.
Clear to me that David Bradley did not get enough reference about
matters relating to AL FIQH.
David Bradly (DB): Oh I see, so Malikis DIDN'T KNOW THIS. So ALL THE SCHOLARS from malik's time till your time DIDN'T KNOW THIS. Can you please explain to us why this is so, Rahman ? I thought hadith and sunnah was such a 'precise science' (lol) that it's impossible to make a mistake.
