Answering Rahman 1 : Is the Quran only Revelation
Rahman :
Where does it say
in the Quran that Al Quran is THE ONLY REVELATION
for us follow?
David Bradly (DB) : The word for ‘revelation’ is only conveying half the message. Follow your own advice. Use the Arabic. The Arabic is ‘tanzeel’ (or descent) and/or 'wahi' (revelation)
We begin with understanding the position of Tauheed al-hakimiyya :
Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than God? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." (6.114)
Now, you claim to be Muslim. Allah has commanded you to SAY : Shall I seek for a judge other than Allah when it is He who descended to you THE BOOK, EXPLAINED IN DETAIL. (wa huwa alladhi anzala ilaikum al-kitab mufassala)
Why don't you just say 'same'na' and 'waatha'na' (we hear and we obey)
So we are not to seek other than Allah as a HAKEEM. How do we do tahkim (legal decision-making) ?
To you We sent THE BOOK in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so JUDGE between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. (5.48)
So Allah sent THE BOOK, and He said 'SO judge betweem BY WHAT GOD REVEALED' and follow NOT THIER VAIN DESIRES'.
So if you accept Allah alone as a judge (that, if you give the Muslim answer to 6.114 ) can you accept ANY OTHER SOURCE.
