1998 Camaro SS - Build Date: November 1997 (#115)Originally Navy Blue Metalic, now Cyber Gray; Originally M6, now A3 2009 Race Season: All new build from front to back. New engine (same iron block) but destroked to 370ci, same tranny/converter set-up as 2008. The SS is not completed yet but we are hoping to have it to the track some time this year. 2008 Race Season: New engine (same 408 iron block), fresh tranny, and new Ultimate converter. Ended up shutting SS down in August due some engine and tranny problems 2006 Race Season: Turbo build is complete, SS is up and running. As of June 1, 2006: 890rwhp with 14lbs of boost, 23 degrees of timing. Should have been 950-1000rwhp, but tires went up in smoke on the dyno. Best overall run: As of August 20, 2006 (still on only maximum of 10.5lbs of boost): 60' 1.336; 1/8 5.840 at 118.283mph; 1/4 9.166 at 146.197mph Best individual stats: Best 1/4 time: 9.166; Best 1/4 MPH: 148.9; Best 60': 1.30; Best 1/8 time: 5.80; Best 1/8 MPH: 119.2
