We live in CORNWALL, which is in the South West of England..We actually moved here in June 2001. We both actually hail from Reading in Berkshire, where we spent all of our lives prior to moving here
The idea was to Retire...(Well that WAS the idea!!). +++
I myself am an Ex- Truck Mechanic of 40 + Years in the Trade,
Pat was in work as a secretary most of her working life, with various firms in and around Reading. Unfortunately I have now been officially declared 'Disabled' because of my Joints and Mobility.
One thing we are both proud of is, we both used to smoke BIG Time, but have stopped over 23yrs ago ..We Both enjoy Travel, Telly, (Yes, we are Soap Freaks Corrie, Eastenders and the Bill!!), I myself have a great Passion for Smart Cars, Steam Trains, Computers / Electronics in General, I absolutely love music played on the 'Wurlitzer' Theatre Organ, such as in Blackpool Tower, I also love cooking and do quite a few 'Experiments' on Pat, which she and I enjoy.
We have become members of the National Trust and been visiting several attractions here in the local area, we have also done quite a lot of exploring around and about in the locality.
We go back to Reading every now and again, to tend to our Parents and Grandparents graves, and to see our friends and Ex-Neighbours, who are Simply Wonderfull, and in fact holiday down here with us in Cornwall in the Summer Months.
Well back to us, We love our Garden, although as time has got on, We finding it a little harder to do things. I have recently done a basic course on Computer Repair and maintainence at St: Austell College and as a Hobby/Interest I build and repair them here at home which I get great satisfaction (and Frustrations) From.I have enrolled for a course in PC maintainence and IT work, starting in September, which will be a 1 years course, which I am looking forward to, I have some Knowledge of these 'magic' machines but I need to know so much more, as they are getting so much more advanced, so I will actually be becoming a 'Mature Student' ..So at least that will be fun !!!!
Pat really loves doing the Daily Mail Crosswords Reading Short stories, Solitaire & Mahjong on the PC. Food in general, Especially Eating it.
We have 2 daughters (Well I do) One (Mandy) lives near us in Fraddon, and the other (Donna) lives in Calne in Wiltshire, where she has recently moved, We also have 4 Grandchildren (2 with each).
