My Water Garden and Fish Pictures
This plant is called Parrot's Feather (Myriophyllum Aquatica)

It is another marginal type.  It has very nice feathery green leaves that are showy both above and below water.

This is a "youngin" and will spread soon.
These are Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia Crassipes)

They are another type of floating plant.  They multiply like crazy!  If you live in a warmer climate, please ensure that you don't introduce them into the wild as they can be very problematic!
I just love ornamental grasses.  This is a Varigated Ribbon Grass (Phalaris Arund. Picta).  This plant is a marginal.  It will grow to 2' or more.

I have other ornamental grasses planted behind the waterfall that will grow to 4' tall.  These grasses, the Iris and other plants should frame the pond nicely!

These plants pictured here are Bog Arum (Calla Palustris) and Water Lettuce (Pistia Stratiotes)

The Bog Arum is potted and is a "marginal plant" which means it needs to be shallow and not totally submerged.
The water lettuce is a floating plant.  Their roots dangle in the water and help to clean it of the impurities.  The fish like to hide in them.
This plant is a Dwarf Umbrella Palm (Cyperus Alternifolia).  It is not hardy in New England.  This will become a houseplant during the winter.

Note the gravel on the tops of plants.  This keeps the frogs, toads and fish from rooting them.
