| On May 7, we reached Italy, stopped at Juliet's famous balcony in Verona and then visited the Roman Arena before reaching our hotel in the Venice region. |

| Next morning, we took a motor launch to St. Mark's Square in Venice where we saw the Dog's Palace and a demonstration of Venetian glass-blowing and lace-making. We also enjoyed a gondola ride along the Grand Canal and sailed beneath the Bridge of sighs. Then we took a lagoon cruise to Burano Island and enjoyed a superb Venetian seafood lunch. |

| May 9, we left Venice for Switzerland. We passed through the Italian Lake Distric to the Swiss Alps with it's snow covered mountain peaks, waterfalls and flower beddecked chalets. |
