1000 Voices

Inspired by the rediscovery of a recording from 1991 of his maternal grandmother, David Boeve has set out to record 1000 interviews of people over the age of 70 within the Reformed and Christian Reformed Church in America.

Within each 40 minute interview,  a standard set of researched questions is used to learn about four life experiences:  Love, Faith, Work, and Family.

Interviews will be transcribed, indexed, and housed at the Hope College Joint Archives in Holland, Michigan.

Mobile Story Pod

                          Sponsored by AmericanRV.com

What if we all took just 40 minutes to sit down with someone and ask about their life?  What if that 40 minutes could be uninterrupted?  No cellphones.  No e-mails.  No distractions.  What if that time could be shared in a special place, intended only for sharing stories?

The Audio Memories mobile Story Pod serves as the focal point of a week long intergenerational communication workshop that invites, trains, and encourages people to share their stories of life, love, and faith.

Call 269-751-7017 today to schedule the Audio Memories Story Pod for your church or organization.

Why we do what we do

Audio Memories was established in response to the void suffered by today's families.  Generations ago, before the shopping malls, senior housing, and suburban living, children would sit and listen to the stories of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Today, families are too busy to know how Grandpa and Grandma met or what Mom was most proud of.

65th Anniversary

50 Members of the Holland American Legion Band will be traveling to Normandy, France for the 65th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion.  Audio Memories will be capturing the sights and sounds of this historic trip and sharing them here.
