| In 1997 I left DC... best move i ever made. In an ice storm I moved up to Jersey City, NJ (just across the Hudson from NYC). My good friend Laurie was (as still is) residing in the area. | |
| I met some
incredible folks--Danny, Juele, Dave D., Xerxes... and some incredibly
nasty folks who will remain nameless (damned tin can Yankees! ;) )
It was also here that the Indie Press started to go great gangbusters, and then slip into hibernation... but it was a great experience and I met interviewed and covered some outrageous bands! |

| My apartment was amazing (and amazingly expensive too!) as it was situated in the top of an old factory... the Dixon Mills pencil factory to be precise. I loved the apartment and I could see the top of the World Trade Center and the upper 3/4 of the Empire State Building from the second bedroom. Of course, the "balcony" was Laurie's favorite part of the place ;) | |
