"Honey, I think Frey's gettin' brain freeze..." The love of my life, my best friend, "mon coeur," my "alpha male," and the best man I've met since my grandfather and my dad... that's my Dave! And go figure... he actually wants to be with me! Who'd a thought ;)

Dave retired from the U.S. Navy after nearly 22 years of service (I just can't seem to get away from the Navy!) and was living in Oak Harbor when we met. He's got a wealth of wonderful "sea stories" that can make you laugh until you can't breathe!

It's a wonder we didn't meet while I worked for ATI/PRC/Litton. Considering my work with USN, his being in the Navy, and the nature of our work... but the Universe dropped him in my lap (for which I am eternally grateful) and it took coming to Seattle and a little help from technology to bring us together.

My sweetheart is 5 years my senior and is a Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee "transplant" to the Pacific Northwest who enjoys laughing (a lot!), the outdoors, an occasional Absolut vodka, and the combination of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and vampire movies. We're both "authenticity Nazis" when it comes to accuracy in historical/military portrayals in film (yep, we've chastised the TV screen a few times).

Dave brought three wonderful step kids into my life! David Jr. (currently engaged to his sweetheart Nicole), Brooke (now married to John Allan Stock), and Cassie. David Jr. and Nicole stayed for a spell in 2004 while they found jobs and a home in the Port Orchard area (they now live a few blocks from us). Cassie's moved in and took one of their spare bedrooms! We don't get to see as much of Brooke or John Allan as we'd like... they live in Oak Harbor and John Allan has joined the Navy!

Dave at work...
Dave at Diablo Dam (Easter 2001) Dave has been working for NAVSEA since 2001 and is now Director of QA and Safety for SUPSHIP Puget Sound. He's just started "going for" his Masters Degree in Quality Assurance. The job is difficult at best, but he's more than equal to the task! When attending a recent conference his peers from other locations were complaining about their staff size (one only had 40 QA specials and the other only 35)... Dave only has 2 and twice the workload!

Dave accentuates my good qualities and mitigates (and makes me laugh at) my bad ones... we have amazing philosophical discussions... he truly is open minded and I waited a long time him! A southern gentleman from "back east" is just what I found! And he received my "kids" seal of approval, so he's a keeper!
