Want to build your own lowrider? Check out what we did to a '66 Impala recently. It received 6 batteries, 2 pumps and 10 switches. The car is a daily driver, and needs very little maintenance. Click on the photos below to see how we did it. Three of us worked on the car; I did the switchbox, Mike Carlson and Dana Brown did most of the rest. We had to make custom battery racks that went all of the way around the tops of the batteries, rather than just a piece of metal on the top like most installers do. Also, notice the brace under the car to protect the gas tank when the back of the car is dropped. The whole system is definitely done right. If you would like us to build your lowrider, email us. |
