In the Name of God Amen I John Butcher of Warminste in the County of Wilts Victualler do make my last Will and Testament in - Manner following (that is to say) I give to my Son John the Sume of One hundred pounds to be paid to him by my Executrix at his age of - Twenty one years. And my Will is that my said Son be put apprentice And that the Money that shall be paid for putting him apprentice Shall be paid out of the said Legacy so as aforesaid Given to him And In Case my Said Son shall dye before he arrives to the Age of twenty One yeares the Legacy So as aforesaid given to him shall be paid to or - Equally divided between my other Children Elizabeth William Thomas and Sarah or the Survivor or Survivors of them at their ages of twenty one Yeares And I give to my sister Elizabeth Bedford Widow the Sume of One Guinea And all the rest of my Goods Chattle Moneys Reall and personall Estate (after my debts Legacies and funerall Expenses Shall be paid and satisfied) I give unto my loving wife Sarah Butcher Whom I make Constitute and appoint whole and Sole Executrix of This my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have Hereunto put my hand and seal this Eighth Day of May in the yeare Of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred thirty and three Signed Sealed published and declared By the Testator as his last will and Testament in the presence of us who Have hereunto Subscribed our Names As Witnesses in his presence Rob.t Bleeck or Black And one I cannot transcribe.
