Arch Sarum 12.2.1716 In the name of God amen the ninth day of october one thousand seven hundred and two I Hester Thring of Steeple Langford in the County of Wilts widow being sick and weak in body but of perfect memory thanks be to God therefore and calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first I bequeath my soul into the hands of God who gave it me and for my body to be buried in decent and Christian burial nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly goods and estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I bequeath and dispose of the same in manner and form following First I give unto my loving son James Thring the sum of thirty pounds to be paid at the end of two years after my decease if he shall be then living but if dead to be equally divided between his children when they shall come to the age of one and twenty years Item I give unto my son John Thring my living or Chattell lease during the lives that be upon it if he shall so long live but if he shall happen to die single and not married my will is that then my grandson James Baker shall have the living during the lives that shall be then living but if it shall happen that my son John shall marry then my will is that he shall give the said James Baker five pounds and the living shall be at my son John's disposing Item I give unto my daughter Mary Baker half my linen Item all the rest of my worldly goods and substance whatsoever I give unto my son John Thring making him full and whole executor of this my last will and testament and I do hereby renounce all former wills and make and ordain this and none other to be my last will and testament The mark of Hester Thring Signed sealed pronounced and declared by the said Hester Thring as her last will and testament in the presence of Henry Mussell Thomas Baker Robert Daniel ??
