Arch Sarum 9.10.1849 Ref. 41 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Selfe of Knighton in the Parish of Broad Chalke in the County of Wilts Farmer First I direct that all my just Debts and Funeral and Testamentory Expenses shall be fully paid by my Executrix and Executors hereinafter named out of my personal estate I give and bequeath unto my dear Wife Harriet Selfe for her own Use absolutely All my Plate Linen China Books Household Goods and Furniture Wine and other Liquors in and about my Dwellinghouse at the time of my Decease And as to all my Monies and Securities for Money Farming Stock Implements and Utensils of Husbandry and all other my personal Estate ane Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same respectively and every part thereof unto my said Wife and my Son John Selfe their respective Executors and Administrators equally share and share alike as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants And I appoint my said Wife and Son and my Brother in Law Jehu Lush of Burcomb joint Executrix and Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said John Selfe the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this one Sheet of Paper set my Hand and Seal this twenty seventh day of December in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and forty eight signed by John Selfe Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Selfe the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and his request and in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto.
