Wilsford & Woodford 29.9.1801 Ref. 1 ----------------------------------------------------------- In the Name of God Amen. The Twenty Ninth Day of October 1779 I John Self of Great Woodford in the County of Wilts Yeoman being weak in Body, but of perfect Mind and Memory Thanks be given unto God. Therefore calling unto Mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament That is to say, principally and first of all, I give andd recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my Body I recommend to the Earth, to be buried in decent Christian Burial, at the Discretion of my Executors herein after mentioned; and as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this Life, I give, demise, and dispose of the same in the following Manner and Form. First I give and bequeath to my Brother James Self the Sum of five Pounds of lawful Money of England to be paid unto him in Six Months after my Decease. Also I give and bequeath to my Brother Thomas Self the Sum of Ten Pounds of lawful Money of England to be paid unto him in Six Months after my Decease. Also I give and bequeath to my Nephew James Self (the Son of my Brother James Self) the Sum of fifteen Pounds of lawlful Mondy of England to be paid unto him in Six Months after my Decese. Also I give and bequeath to Mary Harding the Sum of five Pounds of lawful Money of England to be paid unto her in Six Months after my Decease Also I give to my Son William (the Son of Mary Harding) the Sum of One Hundred and fifty Pounds of lawful Money of England to be paid unto him in the year 1791, viz. when he is Twenty One Years of Age, and he shall have what use the 150 Pounds will bring in at 3œ per Cent per Annum for to help keep him. But if he dies before he is 21 Years of Age my Will is that the 150 Pounds shall be then parted between my Brother Henry Selfs Children that are then alive share and share alike. AlsoI give and bequeath to my two Nephews James and Henry Self (sons of my Brother Henry Self) all my Household Goods and Furniture and also all Bills Bonds and Writings and also all my out a Door Stock that is Corn, Hey, Sheep, Horsses, Piggs and also all my Husbandry Implements such as Ploughs, Harrows, Waggons &c. whom I do hereby Nominate and appoint Sole and only Executors of this my said last Will and Tesament whom I also charge with the Payment of my said Legacies.
