WRO pr.Cons Sarum 7.4.1741 Ref. 5 - 27 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (with corrected and modernised spelling where required) In the name of God amen I Robert Selfe of the parish of Amesbury in the county of Wilts yeoman Being in perfect health and memory and understanding thanks be to God for it I do make and order this to be my last will and testament in the manner following that is to say first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of almighty God my creator hoping through the merits and mediation of my Blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to have a full pardon of all my sins and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried also such worldly estate as it hath pleased almyty God to bless me with I do give and dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I give to my Daughter Mary Gilbert the sum of one hundred and eight pounds that her husband oweth me with the interest due thereof Item I give to my Daughter Susana Marten five pounds a year to be paid at the feast of Saint Michel out of the farm in Great Woodford during she is living there or there on if she lives so long Item I give to my son James Selfe one hundred and fifty pounds to be paid at the age of one and twenty years and twenty pounds to apprentice him if he is willing and to hand three pounds a year to find him in Clothes as interest Item I give to my son John Selfe one hundred and fifty pounds to be paid him at the age of one and twenty years and twenty pounds to put him apprentice and three pounds a year to find him in clothes the time of his apprenticeship Item I give to my son Thomas Selfe one hundred and fifty pounds to be paid him at the age of one and twenty years and twenty pounds to put him apprentice and three pounds a year to find him in clothes the time of his apprenticeship Item I make my two sons Robert Selfe and Henry Selfe joint executors of all my stock and estate at Woodford and Amesbury or elsewhere within doors and without paying the legacies here above given and all of other debts if any owing I do order this my last will and testament disannuling all former wills by me made at any time or times signed sealed and delivered February 27th and in the year 1740 Robert Selfe in the presence of Robert Selfe Heneray Selfe John Compton ?? 1
